Winter Field Day 2026 - Saturday 1/24-25th

We are planning to use EMA station 720 for the event. Please see the message about the planning meeting Wednesday night. Will post updated schedule info after the meeting on the website.

Operational Period: Winter Field Day is held the last full weekend in January. For 2026, it will be held on January 24th and 25th.
The 30-hour operational period starts at 1600 UTC on Saturday (11 am EST), the 24th, and ends at 21:59 UTC on Sunday, the 25th (4:59 pm EST). Stations may begin setting up no earlier than 16:00 UTC (11 am EST) on the Friday before. However, cumulative set-up time shall not exceed 12 hours.

The 2026 Union County Amateur Radio Club President is Josh Ormeroid KB8YVC Josh accepted the nomination at the December meeting and ran unopposed.

No Club Meeting Jan 5th. Dinner on Jan 11th

There will not be a January 5th Club Meeting.
The Annual Dinner 5PM Sunday Jan 11th  at the Asian Cafe Buffet in Marysville on Coleman Crossing will take the place of the meeting.

Just wanted to put out a quick update, as we've got a few new hams in the area, and I've told them to check the website for updates.

We are having a club holiday party at Asian Cafe (Near Walmart in Marysville) on January 11 2026 at 5PM.

We are participating in Winter Field Day at the EMA Station 720 on Saturday and Sunday January 24/25. Watch for more details.

Please see the calendar on the website for scheduled nets on the repeater as well.

2025 Jamboree On The Air at Camp Otter Run

Our guest will be John Campbell, the Scouts BSA  Gate Way District Activities Chair. John and Ed will talk about how Jamboree on The Air went, what equipment was used, and plans for next year's JOTA event. 
We will also discuss using the EMA trailer to transport equipment and how we can better utilize the trailer. 
A reminder for the Dec meeting, the club will elect the club president. Please think about people to nominate to be the next club president.

We will have pizza available at 6:30pm, the meeting will start at 7pm.
