What day would be good to have a monthly ARES training event?

Union County ARES/RACES

There are an ARES (Amateur Radio Emergency Service) group and a RACES (Radio Amateur Civil Emergency Service) group in Union County. Both groups are involved with the Union County EMA ( Emergency Management Agency ). The groups meet regularly on Wed evenings at EMA Station 720 on N Maple Street in Marysville. Most ARES and RACES volunteers are part of both groups.

ARES volunteers need to be trained and certified in IS-100, IS-200, IS-700 and IS-800 at a minimum. These FEMA courses can be completed online from here

If you are interested in becoming part of the Union County ARES group stop by a Wed evening meeting or contact the ARES Union County EC, Ed Liddle at ed.liddle (at) gmail.com
